Dinner Rides
Dinner rides are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month. Check the calendar for gathering time and location, and the dining destination. If you choose not to ride to the dinner, but want to join in the fun, you are encouraged to either meet at the gathering location before the ride and car pool with others to the dining destination, or drive to the dining destination yourself. Spouses and significant others are not only welcome, but encouraged to participate—and many do.
Other Social Events
Tellico Riders is a social organization . . . and here's a listing of some of the things we do.
-
Christmas Party – The Tellico Riders host a Christmas Party. The 2008 party is scheduled for December 11 at the Yacht Club.
Rafting Parties – Any where from 6–10 boats with 6–12 people on a boat meeting on the lake, tie up together, and eat, drink, and swim for a few hours. Everyone brings a dish to share.
- Poker Run – Our first annual charity poker run was held in 2007. It was a benefit ride for Children's cancer. The 2008 poker run, held in September, was a tremendous success. View the pictures here.
- Halloween Party – Put on your funniest, scariest, weirdest costume and join the fun.
- Super Bowl Party – Join the party for food, drink, and laughter—and to cheer on your favorite team.
Ladies Day Out – For the first one, the ladies went
to Pigeon Forge and shopped 'til they dropped. The ladies also shop for the Angel Tree recipients at Christmas.
- Picnics – Held at the Tellico Village pavilion, members
bring a dish to share and enjoy each other's company.
- Water Shed Clean-Up – Tellico Riders members participate
in the annual Water Shed Clean up, coordinated through WaTER.
- Children's Angel Tree – The Club solicits 2–3
children each from the two counties (Loudon and Monroe) and purchase
their Christmas wish list/needs.
-
White Water Rafting – Club members went white water river rafting on the Ocoee in July 2008. Are you ready for 2009?
- Over-Nighters – Occasional overnight trips are scheduled.
- Karaoke Jam Session – New in 2008—try it! See the pictures!
