This page explains the purpose of club Flash Rides and how to organize and implement one. We encourage all members to participate in organizing and riding. The rides don’t have to be exotic or “the best ever”, just plan a fun ride with friends. There are hundreds of past member rides you can use to organize your ride. Just pick a great weather day and do itWhat is a “Flash Ride”
A flash ride is a planned ride led by any club member that is announced to invite all club members. The purpose is to increase riding opportunities for members and take advantage of “weather windows” (warmer, cooler, dry, etc.) that occur on short notice year-round. In order to organize a “Flash Ride” you need to provide the details listed below so that each member can decide whether the ride is suitable for them or not. Before KSU you’d select a rider to act as “sweep” and conduct the ride in accordance with club guidelines. We encourage members
who’d like to do this to add these opportunistic rides for others. We’ll continue to have pre-scheduled club lunch, dinner, and show up rides.
And most of all for you and the group to ride & have fun – safely!
Here’s how:
